Mr R Hanks

Assistant Principal

Mr Hanks studied Physical Education at Liverpool John Moores University. He joined Littlehampton Community School as an NQT in 2004 and was appointed to the post of 14-19 Physical Education Coordinator in 2005. He has subsequently held a number of positions including Lead Teacher for Pace and Challenge, Induction Coordinator and Lead Practitioner. He is responsible for trainee teachers and newly qualified teachers and very much enjoys working with new colleagues in a constant pursuit to improve learning and teaching.

Mr Hanks enjoys keeping fit by cycling and going to the gym but his primary sporting passion is rugby. He is a level 6 national referee and spends most Saturdays on the motorways of the South of England on his way to club fixtures. His ambition is to be graded at level 5 which enables him to join the national group panel and referee matches across the country. When time permits, he also enjoys playing golf. He has a young family and very much enjoys spending time with them and taking them to various sporting activities and on family days out.
