M.P.Thomas, BSc(Hons), PGCE (Cantab)
Principal
At the end of a long term, I am writing my last Principal's Blog.
As is always the case at this time of year, we bid farewell to colleagues who are moving on to pastures new. I would like to thank them for their hard work and dedication to the students here in Littlehampton. Goodbye and best wishes for the future to: Ms Tippey, Ms Stredwick, Mrs Laming, Ms A Bayley, Mr Alexander, Ms Pennington, Ms Morgan, Miss Searle, Ms Andrews, Ms Lyons, Mrs Cutts, Ms G Bayley, Mr Dalmon, Miss Tingle and Mrs Kundishora.
I am delighted to confirm that the academy is fully staffed for September. My successor, Sarah Pringle, will be writing to you at the beginning of the term and will introduce our new colleagues.
Just a reminder that the Year Leaders from September 2022 are:
Year 7 - Mr Perry
Year 8 - Mrs Bishop
Year 9 - Mrs Finneran-Arm
Year 10 - Mrs Absalom
Year 11 - Ms Gisbey
Sixth Form - Ms White
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your support over my time as Principal and I wish you and your families a restful summer.
Staggered start to the Autumn Term
A letter has been sent out to all parents notifying them of the arrangements for the Autumn Term. Y7, 11, 12 & 13 students return on Monday 5 September at 8:30am. All students are expected to be in on Tuesday 6 September at 8:30am. More information can be found here

Production of Peter Pan
A huge congratulations and thank you to our Drama Club students who successfully staged an amazing production of Peter Pan last week. The entire production was put together by Drama Club students in their after school enrichment sessions since January this year. All scripting and adaptations of the story were penned by Miss Collins, our lead Drama Teacher. The team has raised over £350 for the Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, and refreshments sold on the evening contributed to the Romania fundraising. We are very proud of our students and the team that supported the production and we thank all those that came to see it and supported. This is an amazing example of the power of enrichment!
