Welcome
Littlehampton Academy Sixth Form is an academically focused and thriving place to study. Over the last four years we have achieved on average 40% A* - B at A Level, as well as being graded consistently 'Excellent' for the progress our students make. A high proportion of our students win places at university every year with a substantial number progressing to prestigious Russell and 1994 group universities.
Our Sixth Form is small enough to be friendly, compact and easily manageable yet large enough to have all the facilities of a thriving, modern-day Sixth Form. Our fantastic new Academy building houses many of the lessons attended by Post-16 students and the superb new facilities for sport, music and drama are all enriching our students' experience.
We provide a high level of support and guidance to our students throughout their time in the Sixth Form and offer a wide range of enrichment and leadership opportunities to enhance students' life skills. In particular we look to support students in developing in five key areas:
Vision
- Students identifying their goals and the steps necessary in achieving these.
Effort
- Developing students' engagement with self directed learning.
Systems
- Supporting students in organising their learning to support development.
Practice
- Presenting opportunities to practice and develop key skills for examinations and course work.
Attitude
- Engaging students with a reflective approach in identifying their own attitude to learning and building resilience.
