Key Stage 3 Progress Assessments
Over the next two weeks students in years 7-9 will be sitting a series of online assessments in English and maths, with years 8 and 9 also completing these in science. There is no additional preparation required by students ahead of these assessments, and students will receive further information, including when these assessments will be carried out, from their class teachers. These assessments are used nationally and the data enables us to moderate our own internal assessment practice, in addition to evaluating student performance against their cohort nationally.

These online assessments require the use of headphones and as I am sure you will appreciate, we have only a limited quantity of headphones in the Academy. To support this process, we would be grateful if students who have a set of headphones (3.5mm headphone jack) could ensure that they bring these into the Academy to use when completing their assessments, which will take place during their timetabled lessons.
